4 Laker teams qualify for tournament

Congratulations to the Girls Tennis, Baseball, Softball, and Boys Lacrosse teams for qualifying for the MIAA tournament. This feat marks the first time in the school's history for the boys lacrosse program who should know this Friday of their opening round opponent. Baseball and Softball have each secured a Partriot League title and will begin tourney play sometime late next week. The girls tennis team qualified today with a 3-2 win over Plymouth North and will be seeded next Tuesday. GO LAKERS!

Concussion crisis growing in girls’ soccer

I was particularly intrigued with this segment on Rock Center the other night.  It finally makes sense to me why we see a number of concussions year in year out with our athletes....weak NECK muscles!  I encourage you to read, watch this segment.....and encourage all of our Silver Lake Athletes to incorporate neck strengthening exercises into your everyday workouts.
